Not sure what you are trying to ask about. An amended 2021 return could not be e-filed now in 2023. If you amended 2021 in 2023 you need to mail in the return. You cannot e-file it. And why are you amending? What did the IRS change or disallow?
Hello I will clarify. I filled a 2021 ammended return on sept 11,2022 thru turbo online, was accepted. The only change I made was using a prior years income to figure credit on form7202. 8 months later get letter from irs disallowing claim due to the form 7202 was missing. Very strange the download of the file has the form attatched. I’m trying to fix this or generate something from turbo showing proof of forms to send irs cuz at this point agent told me that I must file a whole new ammended return and send it in. This starts the process all over again the clock on waiting time frame as well as the interest What would you do??? Thank you for your time much appreciated
The IRS requires forms or schedules that are new or changed due to your amendment.
If you don't attach those, IRS will reject your amendment.
You'll have to submit again.
Do not include your old 1040 nor your revised 1040 because the Form 1040-X reflects any changes there and becomes your new tax return.
