Amended return results in payment vs refund

I amended my state tax return and now owe money. However, the state has already paid me the refund. Does the amount due that TurboTax calculates on the amended return account for the refund, or do I actually owe the state the amount due shown plus any amount they may have already paid me?

It should account for the refund ... LOOK at the amended return to be sure. So it sounds like you got too big a refund and need to send some back. Since you didn't state which state it is I cannot give you a more detailed answer.

SC and yes I got a refund, but now owe money with the amendment.
