Amended Return -- Automatic Signout

Every time I try to submit my amended return, turbotax automatically signs me out once I reach the "searching for best filing options" stage.  I've tried on two different browsers and two different computers.  Help!

Since you have already changed web browsers and the problem still exists the best option is to contact TurboTax support for assistance.

Amended tax returns can only be printed, signed, dated and mailed by you, they cannot be e-filed.  Change your filing method to File by Mail in the File section of the program.

I don't get to that part is the problem...it says it is determining best option for filing and before I can choose, it signs me out.  there doesn't seem to be a print option before that.

Are you amending a 2018 tax return that you originally filed and that was Accepted by the IRS?  If so, are you using the TurboTax online web based editions or the TurboTax desktop software installed on a personal computer?

 

Or are you amending a prior year tax return, 2015 thru 2017, using the TurboTax desktop software?

2018 return originally filed/accepted.  Online version.

Did you follow the procedure to amend the online return as shown in the following TurboTax support FAQ - https://ttlc.intuit.com/community/amending/help/how-do-i-amend-my-turbotax-online-return/00/27577

 

Since the amended return can only by filed by mail, the software should not even be searching for the best way to file the amended return.
