Amend

After filing I received another 1099R. I started an amended return , but when I got to the end it could not file because IRS (and state) had not accepted the original.  Now IRS and state have accepted original, but the "amended area" says this is not available until IRS establishes it,  So I saved what I thought was going to be my amended return.  Do I just have to keep trying in Turbo to see if I can proceed?

You should not make changes to your filed return until the IRS has processed your return.  Since the  the amended return (1040X), will not be available until around 3/25/21 (subject to change), you will need to wait to amend your return.
