Amend

This is my first year I'm doing my taxes myself.  I completed them on Feb 1st and they were approved Feb 3rd.  I requested to get them through direct deposit.  I'm good, right?? No.  Its now March 3rd and I haven't gotten my federal, I got my state last week.  I call the IRS today and they said I forgot my health insurance information!  Of course I forget something!  Then I go on TT and need to amend, whatever that is, and added my health insurance information.  AND THEY CHARGE ME $110 LOLOLOL.   Mind you I'm completely broke so I wont be getting my return anytime soon.  I should have never been able to be ACCEPTED ON THE 3RD if I forgot something that's going to cost me $110.  I just needed to vent, thanks.  Please make sure you do everything right because TT will find a way to charge you if you make a mistake.

Accepted only means the IRS took possession of the return so they can begin to look over and check your return. Only after they begin to check the return can they find if anything was missing.

You can track your return by checking the Where's My Refund website located here

If you elected to have your fees deducted from your refund, the IRS will send your return to Santa Barbara Bank, where they will deduct the fees and then deposit any remaining refund into your account.
