2020 Ammend still says unavailable

Good morning,

I filed my taxes and was accepted.  I am in Delaware.  I had unemployment  in 2020. I need to ammend my taxes but not for unemployment for child tax information and credit.  However, it says not available to ammend. Do I have to use turbo tax to ammend or go through IRS for the 1040x form.

Sorry but the amendment program is on hold until further notice to keep folks from amending returns before the IRS makes the corrections to several things  themselves  so as to not "gum up the works" ... since you have 3 years to amend there is plenty of time to wait for the system to go live.
