1040x please help

For 2019?

The 1040X becomes available later in February, so you have to wait for it.  If your return is still being processed now, it would not be a good idea to amend yet anyhow.  Sending in an amended return while they are still processing your original return could cause confusion that would delay your refund for months.

Check back later for the 1040X.   AFTER your return has been fully processed.

If your return has been accepted, to edit the information, you will have to amend it to make corrections.

To amend by filing a Form 1040-X.  Click here for instructions Amend 2019.   Please note that the 2019 Form 1040-X is not available until 2/12/2020.  Please come back later. Also, be aware that you should not try to amend your return until it has been fully processed and you have received your refund or your payment has cleared.  If by editing the information does not change the refund or amount you owe, you do not need to submit the amendment.
