I submitted (e-File on my TurboTax desktop) my regular Federal Taxes.
I realized later that I had missed one item, so I need to submit an amendment.
I know I need to wait until the first submission is processed before I submit the 1040-x.
Question, I did find and went through the process of walking through the 1040-x workflow, but I didn't see an option to do an e-File. It just gave me a paper option, is it just waiting for the first federal submission to be completed first?
I only saw California with an option to e-File, but not Federal.

Yes, I will wait until after the 1040 is processed.
My question however was not answered.
Does TurboTax have an option to e-File the 1040x?
The only option it gave me while I wait for my first submission is to print it and mail it.
If you are amending your 2023 tax return, then if your form is able to be e-filed, you will be given the option to e-file. Not all amended returns are able to be e-filed.
For years prior to 2023, they all must be printed and mailed as those are not able to be e-filed at all.
