How do I know my taxes are complete?

by TurboTax Updated 3 months ago

Your taxes are only complete after you sign and file your returns. Once you’ve paid for TurboTax (if applicable), follow these steps to finish and file your taxes:

Note: If your TurboTax navigation looks different from what’s described here, learn more.

  1. Sign in to TurboTax.
    • If you’re already signed in, skip to step 3.
  2. Select Finish & File. Then, select Review/Edit or Continue.
  3. On the File page, select Continue.
  4. Go to step 2 and select how you'd like to receive your refund or pay your tax bill.
  5. Go to step 3 and select how you'd like to file your return.
  6. Follow the steps to successfully e-file your return.
  1. Sign in to TurboTax.
  2. Review your return summary.
  3. Choose how to receive your refunds and how to pay your taxes.
  4. Follow the steps to get ready for your tax expert to file your returns.
  5. On the Review the declaration and sign screen, electronically sign your name. On this page, you can view a PDF copy of your return by selecting View a copy of your return.
  6. Select Continue.
    • You can answer the optional TurboTax Live surveys and select Continue, or to skip this part, select Skip.
  7. On the My Expert page, your taxes are complete once you get a confirmation that your tax expert will now file your returns.
