Deceased dependent without SSN does not autopopulate DIED in the SSN field

Some TurboTax Online customers who had a child who was born and died this tax year and did not have a SSN may be experiencing an issue when completing their return. 

We're sorry for your loss. We’re currently working to resolve this issue. To complete the return now, follow these steps:

  1. Select Federal Review
  2. On the Let’s take care of these details now screen, select Answers to review, and then select Review
  3. In Check This Entry, in the dependent’s SSN entry field, enter DIED
  4. Select Continue 
  5. Continue through the rest of the federal review
