How do I get a sign in request sent to my mobile device?

by TurboTax Updated 5 days ago

You can sign in to your Intuit Account online more securely and faster with just a tap on your mobile device. When you ask us to send you a sign in request, we’ll push a notification to your Intuit apps—like TurboTax, QuickBooks, or professional tax products—for you to approve.

Here’s how it works:

  1. Opt to get a sign in request sent to your mobile device.
  2. You’ll get a notification from an Intuit app on your mobile device. (This notification might come from a different Intuit app than the product you’re signing in to on your computer—that’s okay.)
  3. Tap the notification to approve the sign in request. .
  4. You’ll automatically be signed in to your Intuit Account on your computer.

Your request might expire, but you can always resend the sign in request when you’re ready.

To get a push notification to sign in, you need to have at least one Intuit app installed and have push notifications turned on for that app—you can turn those on in your iOS or Android notification settings. If the app and notifications are all set up, try resending the sign in request. You'll also see an option to sign in a different way.

Deny the request and when prompted, let us know it wasn’t you. We’ll make sure your account is secure.

If you’re signing in on a device we don’t recognize, we may need to verify your identity one more time to make sure you’re you.

It could be you got a sign in request from each of the Intuit apps you have installed on your device. You only need to tap one of the requests to sign in. You can dismiss the others.
