If you know last year's refund amount, you don't need a 1099-G. Choose your product and follow the steps to enter last year’s refund amount.

TurboTax Online

  • Open or continue your return.

  • On the Did you have any of these types of income? screen, select Yes.

  • On the State and local tax refunds and other government payments screen, select the applicable check box(es) and select Continue.

TurboTax Desktop

  • Open or continue your return.

  • Select Federal Taxes and navigate to Wages & Income.

  • Select Visit All next to 1099-MISC and Other Common Income and follow the instructions to enter your refund amount.
