Where do I enter estimated tax payments in TurboTax Business?

by TurboTax13 Updated 3 months ago

Where you enter your estimated tax payments depends on what type of corporation you're filing taxes for. Select one of the following options for instructions:

Note: this is only available in TurboTax Business for Windows.

  1. Open or continue your tax return.
  2. Select Federal taxes, then Other, and Continue.
  3. Answer the questions until you reach the Tax Payments screen.
  4. Check the box for 2024 estimated payments and enter your payments on the following screen.

Estimated tax payments for S corporations will need to be entered in Forms Mode:

  1. If you're in the Step-by-Step interview, select Forms in the upper right corner of TurboTax.
    • Online: In Tax Home under Tax Tools, select Forms.
  2. In the left pane, select Information Wks (it may pop up as Info Wks)—it should be at or near the top.
    • Online: In the left pane, select S Corporation Information Worksheet — it should be at or near the top.
  3. In the right pane, scroll down to Part III of the Information Worksheet. Here is where you enter your quarterly and other payments.
  4. When finished, select Step-by-Step to return to the guided return.
    • Online: When finished, select Close Forms to return to the guided return.

Because partnership income and expenses are passed on to the individual partners to be reported on their personal (1040) returns, any estimated tax payments should likewise be reported on the individual's return.
