How do I add or remove a dependent?

To add or remove a dependent in TurboTax:

1. Open or continue your return.
2. For TurboTax Online, go to the Personal profile screen.
3. For TurboTax Desktop, select Personal Info.
4. Select Add another dependent/Edit if you need to add someone. Select the trash can icon next to the name of a dependent to remove them. We'll ask you to confirm before we take them off your return.
