Payments received by a parent for providing homemaker or community connector services to their own child through a government-funded program must be reported as income. Since the care is for your own child, it is not classified as self-employment, and associated self-employment expenses cannot be claimed. This income is generally reported as "Other Income" and is not subject to self-employment tax, as you are not running a business.
