Thank you again for all your assistance! Three final questions. Before I made any changes to address (so I was a DC resident with a DC business all year as far as TurboTax was concerned) my refund from DC was a certain amount. When I changed my residency to Florida (in the Personal Info section) the DC refund went to 0. Since I’ve been paying estimated taxes all year, I’m not sure why that would happen. When I then updated the Personal Info with move information to include that I had been living in DC through May 15th, a refund came back, but, was 5% less than the original refund amount. So, Question 1: Why would a refund go down when the software thought I was not living or owning a business in DC for all or part of the year? When I then changed my business address (which had been updated automatically to the new Florida address) as per your great instructions – there was no change to the refund amount (still 5% less than before the address changes). So, Q2, does that change not matter to calculations? And then, final question, is there an actual form (or forms) I should look at to confirm that things are working? So sorry for all the questions and sincerely grateful for all your help thus far and any assistance you might be able to provide!
