Since you don't have any income from California, you don't need to file the personal state tax return. It would be different if you need to file a business return since you would be reporting income and expenses, but since you did that with the corporate return, the personal return would not be required. You do need to save your return before you close it. It is possible you saved it somewhere on your computer hard drive but it is not where you are looking.
