Social security premiums:
- Sch 1 line 17 shows the self-employed health deduction - which would show parts B and D.
- The deduction is only allowed if you have a profit to cover it.
- Medicare Parts B and D will not show on your Sch C since they are an adjustment to total income (Sch 1).
- Parts B and D do not reduce your business income or self-employment tax.
- Sch 1 is reducing your taxable income.
