1099 NEC, 1099 MISC, or Schedule C
I worked for a cleaning company for 3 days in 2024. They paid me about $425. They claimed I was an employee when I started but then when they fired me they said because they rescended the offer of employment, they put me down as a 1099 employee. They paystub they gave me had no taxes or deductions at all.
Long story short I've called them to try and get some kind of 1099 or something but they won't provide it. So I'd like to know what's my best course of action for claiming this money. Should I fill out a 1099 of some sort or schedule c? I have a few other gig jobs so I'm used to filing partly self-employed. And also is the employer tax number necessary to file these documents with my taxes because I don't know it. Thanks for the help.
