If the account that the IRS attempts to send your payment to is closed, the payment will be returned to the IRS.
After that happens (we have no idea how long that could take, the IRS has not said), you will be able to enter new information in the Get my Payment tool on the IRS website found here: Get my Payment.
Until the payment is returned to the IRS and your status changes in their system, there isn't anything else you can do.
The IRS system is updated daily, typically in the overnight hours. Check back often until you are able to update your payment.
