When you change your address from one place to another it changes the type of return that you file.  You should be filing a part-year resident return for DC if you have any Florida income to separate out that you don't want to pay DC taxes on.  However, if all of your income is DC based then you can keep your DC resident return for 2022 and not even worry about the Florida address until 2022.  

 

Changing your address on the DC resident return is reducing one of the credits that you're entitled to for living in DC.  And you are probably not entitled to them as a part-year resident.
