Concern About Delivery Of Third Stimulus
Hello, I receive Social Security Survivors benefits and I received the first and second stimulus payments very easily and quickly via direct deposit. Here's my concern, when I filed my 2020 tax return and because I didn't have any part-time income in 2020, I didn't qualify for a tax return, which is fine. The problem is, because there wasn't any income, there was no need to include bank account information with the tax return.
Ultimately my question is this; which situation takes precedence? The IRS has my bank account information based on the fact that I get direct deposit via SSI. However, my most recent tax return (2020) does NOT have bank account information included. Am I in danger of not getting a direct deposit and instead receive my third stimulus via paper check?
Thanks for any help.
