It is possible that you could end up having a deposit or receive a check in the mail and not have an update at all I have a friend that happened to last week. The first day the portal opened on the 15th I entered my direct deposit info at 1201 p.m. Central Standard Time as I am in Missouri I think the portal is Eastern Time and I had the same message as you saying it would be deposited once a date is available it was that way the whole time until Saturday April 25th. It then updated to I would have a direct deposit on April 30th and I used TurboTax when I filed my taxes this year and had my money deposited into the same account linked to my Turbo prepaid card and it came this morning no email no text it was just in my account
