Non-Military Self Employment Income Sourced from Guam. How to file?
Looking for some confirmation on how to file taxes...
Military filer and Florida resident currently stationed in Guam. I have non-military self employment income sourced from Guam. According to Pub. 570 Tax Guide for Individuals With Income From U.S. Possessions, Ch. 3 Guam: "If you have income from sources within Guam and are a U.S. citizen or resident alien, but you are not a bona fide resident of Guam during the tax year, file your income tax return with the United States." My understanding is I file a single U.S. return with Form 5074 (Allocation of Individual Income Tax to Guam or the CNMI) included to apportion my income between the U.S. and Guam. However, TurboTax does not support Form 5074. ☹️
I'm considering printing my Federal Return from TurboTax, manually attaching Form 5074, and then mailing the return. Does that seem reasonable? Any potential landmines to avoid?
Would be great if TurboTax just added Form 5074!
