Tax help for military filers
If NJ is your military State of Legal Residence (SLR), then for tax purposes you remain a resident of NJ regardless of where you are stationed, and your military pay is taxable by NJ.

You can only change your SLR by filing DD Form 2058 with DFAS.

**Answers are correct to the best of my ability but do not constitute tax or legal advice.
