In your situation it would be easiest to file head of household. Please enter your and your spouses information under "My Info". Then please follow these steps to qualify for head of household:
- Click "My Info" from the left side of your screen
- Scroll down to Filing Status/ Marital status and click “Edit”
- Select "married" and "No" to the "Do you want to file this return together with your spouse?" question and click "continue"
- On the next screen select "was a nonresident alien at any time during 2020."
- Continue through the questions.
