I filed my taxes on turbo tax saying that I have a due amount that I have to pay to Uncle Sam, I schedule the amount to be taken from my bank account on a set date . My W2 is military with home of record Puerto Rico. I’ve read that I won’t have to file to the irs but I did out of curiosity. Will they catch up and cancel my “due amount” or will the IRS taxed me. Was it necessary for me to file in the first place ?
I’ve been trying to search a clear answer about whether I should file or not but no luck. I also got 1099 forms with home address from Robinhood and Fidelity which I did not include in my when filings , Do I have to amend my return and include these forms?
