I am working with my son to amend his return (he's in the military). He decided to jump the gun on filing his taxes and did not include some items and marked a few things wrong, like that I could still claim him as a dependent, LOL.
So my question is, before we submit the amended return, is the amount showed for Federal Refund on the amended return screen additional money he should be getting back. For example (not real numbers), his original return stated he got $450 and on it list $100 on the amended return screen. So that should be jointly he should get back $550 for a total return correct?
