New for 2019 is Exclusion for retired or retainer pay of the uniformed services of the United States. A taxpayer who receives benefits, annuities, and pensions as retired or retainer pay of the uniformed services of the United States may subtract the amount received, or $3,500, whichever is less. If married, each spouse is eligible for the subtraction. The subtraction will be done on your Arizona state return.
