You will need to enter this information in the "My Info" section.
- Confirm you have selected that you are serving as a member of the US Armed forces under your personal information.
- TurboTax will ask you for your military status, ranking, and pay grade.
- Select Continue and you will see a screen which says "Which combat zone or hazardous duty area did you serve in during 2019? There is an arrow below that you can pull down and select the applicable zone.
- Then go into your W-2 information under Income & Expenses. You will continue through the screens until you see a page that says "Do any of these uncommon situations apply to this W-2?". Be sure to check "Active Duty Military" on this page.
