Tax help for military filers
I'm active duty overseas and have been for nearly 2 years, but my Permanant residency is in Idaho. When the website asks how much I earned as Active Duty outside of Idaho, Do I put in what my wages in block 1, 3, 5, and 18 all say? Or since block 18 says "State Wages", would that not apply?
Yes, you can input the information for either box 1 or 18, as they should be the same. The important point is this: Idaho does not tax active-duty military pay for Idaho residents stationed outside of Idaho. Here is information as found on the website military.com (Click here).
