This income should be reported in the Other Income section of TurboTax.
- Log in and open your return (if not already open).
- Click the search field, type 1099misc, and click the jump to link in the search results.
- Once you have entered your 1099-misc, select that it does not involve work like your main job, select that it did not involve an intent to make money, and select that it is not a recurring payment (even if it is). You must report the income as a non-recurring payment so that the self-employment tax will not be computed.
