Open your return in TurboTax:
- Click on Deductions & Credits
- Scroll down to Retirement and Investments
- Click on Traditional and Roth IRA Contributions
- Click on Traditional IRA
- Click yes or no if that you contributed to a traditional IRA in 2019
- Next screen asks if you contributed more money to your IRA than was allowed in 2018 or previous year
- Click Yes
- Next screen enter the excess contribution amount
