Roth IRA Married Filing Separately not living together
I got married at the end of 2019 and we do not live together. I contributed $6500 (below the limit of $7000) and have an MGI below $120K. Turbotax automatically assumes we lived together and says my contribution is ineligible and subject to a 6% penalty. I called the IRS, and per Pub598 p.42, I am eligible to make the contribution. How do I tell Turbotax to override the default disallowance and penalty? Thanks.
