Retirement tax questions
If you did not enter the correct SSN, your income tax return would be rejected. One of the first checks of the e-file system is to compare the social security number with the exact name on record with the Social Security Administration. If there is not a match, your return will be rejected and you can enter the correct SSN when you correct the return.
