1099-R
I received form 1099-R from a financial agency accounting for 100% of my IRA withdrawals made in tax year 2019. However, only 55% of the withdrawals is taxable since 45% was designated for charitable donations. I have a letter in hand confirming that the church received their stated amount. How do I report this in TurboTax? Can I enter the lowered taxable amount in box 2a, noting that box 2b is already checked (taxable amount not determined)? When submitting my form 1040 forms electronically (Fed and State), how do I supply documentation to the IRS that the designated charity received their money? How might I attach a PDF? I am retired and older than 70.5 years.
