IRA Rollover 401k to IRA
I started a new job in 2018, at which time I transferred my 401k from my old employer to a private Traditional IRA. This year, I received a 1099-R showing the amount that they sent me from my old 401k and form 5498 from my new private Traditional IRA showing the same amount being deposited in my new account. When using the Turbo tax software, it shows where to put the income received from the 1099R, but then only asks if I transferred the funds to a Roth IRA, which I did not, I transferred them to a Traditional IRA. If I put no, then it assumes the full amount was income to me, which it wasn't. Not sure how I should go about making sure this isn't imputed as income to me in the Turbo Tax software. Any ideas?
