Retirement tax questions
If you do not have a 1099 INT, you can still report your bank interest in Turbo Tax. You would go to:
1) Sign into your account and select Take me to my return
2. From the top, select tab Federal Taxes / Wages and Income
3. Select all income> Interest and Dividends>show more>interest on 1099-INT
4. Select Start>Did you receive any interest income>yes
5. Next screen says Let's get your tax info indicate you want to type it in yourself
6) Let's get the info from your 1099-INT here you would put in name of the institution and amount received as if they have issued the 1099 INT. This is a perfectly acceptable alternative if you never received the form.
