I want to contribute more to a SEP than the amount stated on my filed return before the 10/16 deadline, (which TurboTax calculated would reduce my tax bill). When I reopened TurboTax to file the amendment, it says the SEP amount can only be entered by those filing a schedule C, although there will be no change to my Schedule C. My understanding is that only changed info is added to an amendment. Can you tell me what steps to take to make the necessary change? Thanks.
