@longhorns082179 that’s what the irs would tell me every time I called. So I called tax advocate and they were able to transfer me to the examination department. Once I talked to someone in that department they told me exactly what I already knew that was wrong and sent me My IRS letter asking for employment verification since the mistake was in my withholding amount. So I sent everything they asked for and when I called to see if they received it they said I would have to wait till they get to it. They go by the date they received my mail which was June 4. And they were opening mail from December 2017 so can you imagine how long it will take to get to June’s mail. So I decided to get tax advocate which has been a big help and now I’m just waiting. Tax advocate said I should see a status change this week either a refund date or if they need further paperwork. I’m just glad someone look closer than just the the “status” on my return.
