Form RRB1099 is taxed the same as social security income reported on Form SSA1099. To report this in TurboTax, follow these steps:
- Click on the Federal category in the left hand navigation bar.
- Click on the Wages and Income tab at the top of the screen.
- Scroll through the full list of income items and find the section labeled Retirement Plans and Social Security.
- Click start on the line labeled Social Security (SSA-1099, RRB-1099).
- Click yes, let's work on Social Security benefits.
- Choose Railroad retirement benefits (Form RRB-1099).
- Enter the figures from your RRB-1099 in the dropdown form.
