Retirement tax questions
You can either report the money as hobby income or as self employed as [mention://77258962 [mention://77258962 @TurboTaxKatrinaB]] reported. Hobby income won't require you to upgrade to TT Self employed but won't allow you to deduct expenses unless you are itemizing and are subject to further limitations. Do note that intent to make a profit is a requirement to report as self employed as otherwise the IRS will consider it a hobby.
