Retirement tax questions
The most common use of the 1099-G is to report unemployment compensation as well as any state or local income tax refunds you received that year.
How to enter Unemployment 1099-G:
- Click the Federal Taxes Tab( Personal Tab in Home & Business)
- Choose Wages & Income
- Choose Explore on my own or I'll choose what to work on
- Locate the Unemployment area - Click the Start or Update Button
Here is how to enter your State/Local Refund 1099-G:
- Click the Federal Taxes Tab( Personal Tab in Home & Business)
- Choose Wages & Income
- Choose Explore on my own or I'll choose what to work on
- Scroll down to Other common Income
- Click Start/Update next to State and Local Refunds ( 1099-G)
