Retirement tax questions
If you had two or more employer's and the total Social Security taxes withheld were over $7,254 and no single employer withheld more than $7,254, then the excess taxes withheld will be entered on Line 71 of your Form 1040 as a tax payment. If your total tax payments are greater than your tax liability then you will receive a refund for the overpayment.
