Domicile is used to determine your residence. Domicile can be defined as the place you consider your home- where you intend to return after an absence. Domicile is based on facts and circumstances. You must establish a new domicile with the intention of abandoning your old domicile. Based on your statement, you have no intention of establishing a new state residence- but be careful because a state can try to force domicile on you with things like changing your driver's license and car registration, voter registration. Also each state has its own laws for domicile so you may want to check- sometimes there is statutory residence if you live in a state more than 6 months.
