Weather you pay taxes on the SS income or not is really irrelevant. Since you do have other sources of income that are reportable, then you also have to include that SS income on your tax return. How much of it (if any) will be taxed depends on the amount of your "other" income. But in your case, I can pretty much tell you that you're going to be paying taxes on a maximum of 85% of your SS income.
