I withdrew on my 401k early but paid 25% in taxes up-front. Does this exclude me from paying additional money when filing my tax return?
I'm 27 years old and had been working at the same company since I was 16. After 11 years and multiple promotions I got laid off from the company. Since the time of my employment I had been contributing to a 401k, and 403b after company changed policies. I had to make early withdraws on both retirement funds in span of unemployment. When I did early withdraw I opted to pay 25% in taxes upfromt. Would this exclude me from paying additional taxes and/or penalties when filing my tax return?
