No, you won’t need a 1099-SA.
If you did not spend any money out of your HSA, you will not need the
Form. If you had contributions (even through work), you will still need to file Form
8889 to report these. But if you had
neither contributions to nor payments from your HSA you will have nothing to
file on your HSA. Keep your records,
though, as always
