Find a bank, broker or insurance company that issues IRA's. Complete the paperwork and open and fund it no later than Monday (April 15, 2019) for the 2018 tax year.
To enter
contributions to a Traditional or Roth IRA in TurboTax, please follow these steps:
- Click on Federal > Deductions
& Credits
- Scroll down to the Retirement
and Investments section and click on the Start/Revisit box next
to Traditional and Roth IRA Contributions.
- On the Traditional IRA and Roth
IRA screen, mark the appropriate box and click Continue.
- Continue through the screens, entering the requested information.
