Retirement tax questions
You only have form 8606 if part of your withdrawal was non-taxable because you did not take a tax deduction when making the original contributions. If this is the case, you must include form 8606 every time you make a withdrawal. If you did not include form 8606 in 2024, you may need to file an amended return. Go back over your prior returns until you find the most recent return with a form 8606, then post back here with more details.
If you did not make non-deductible contributions, you would only have form 8606 if you had withdrawals or conversions to/from a Roth IRA. You'll have to add more details for us to understand your question.
